PUBLIC HEALTH AND COVID-19
Dr John Swartzberg MD
Clinical Professor Emeritus of UCB School of Public Health
Covid-19 is a global threat to the health of our populations and our economies. How can we as individuals retain our individuality and still act for the greater good of the society?
Dr John Swartzberg MD is uniquely qualified to help us understand what we can do. He is Clinical Professor Emeritus of UCB School of Public Health specializing in vaccinology and infectious diseases, and is a faculty member of the UCB-UCSF Joint Medical Program. He is a seasoned communicator, serving as the Editorial Board Chair of UCB Health and Wellness Publications.
What should be the public health strategies for the coming 2 years? What will be the criteria for businesses to open? How can we gather and stay safe? Will the "scattershot" approach to our country's vaccine research and the time pressure researchers are under produce the best vaccine? What would be a better strategy? These are some of the questions to be discussed, and hopefully you will have more.
