Emery Bunch Zoom "Documentary Film Discussion Group"

On Friday, September 11,  2020, at 5:00 PM you are cordially invited to join our new activity group, hosted by Joan Bard and Ray Westergard, which will review and discuss Ava DuVernay’s documentary film “13th”, titled after the 13th Amendment to the Constitution outlawing slavery in the U.S. This documentary details racism in America from slavery to today’s mass incarcerations, primarily of African Americans.

It is informative, evocative, and entertaining and is available free on YouTube by typing “13th” into the search bar, or on Netflix for those who subscribe. Ray will have more to say about the film, including some questions for us to consider in his upcoming reminder about the second meeting of our new documentary film group. The discussion group will be in lieu of one of the bi-weekly Happiest Hour get-togethers, and your feedback and comments are welcome.
