"GARDEN HELP IS ON IT'S WAY"
Dear Ashby Village,
Thanks for all your cheerful help in organizing, shopping, gardening and hosting a great moment of lunchtime socializing. Here’s a little account for the AV newsletter:
Three energetic little dogs – white, black, and brown – did little to help the Hearts and Hands group as they tackled the awesome tangle of weeds that had hidden my garden, but their canine capers and yelps served as a sort of undisciplined cheering section as they scampered in and out among tools, detritus and volunteers.
With great forbearance and good will these five hearty helpers earned my eternal gratitude and admiration for the wonderful job they did: Peggy Malley, Luciano Corazza, Maryl Gearhart, Veronica Martin, and everyone’s angel of mercy, Pat Carvalho. Richard Bermack joined us to document the madness as official photographer, and to add to the lunchtime conviviality.
My time with Hearts N' Hands left me with a garden to enjoy instead of weep over, and a day to remember when loneliness clouds over.
