Open to: Members who are caregiving for a loved one with dementia or significant cognitive impairment.
Caregivers Support Group III
The aim of this group is to provide participants an opportunity to learn from and support each other by sharing the ways we care for and communicate with a loved one with dementia or significant cognitive impairment. The group provides a safe place to discuss the stresses, challenges (e.g., emotional toll, grief, loss of companionship, financial strain), and rewards of caregiving. This is a peer-led support group for Ashby Village members and meets monthly on zoom rather than in person due to the high demands on caregiving.
