THE SECOND ANNUAL ASHBY VILLAGE SUMMER PICNIC
FOOD, FRIENDS & FUN
SUNDAY August 26, 1pm-4pm
PADRE CAMPSITE IN TILDEN PARK
Bring your friends and family and come spend a leisurely Sunday afternoon in the beautiful (and fully wheelchair accessible!) Padre picnic site. Part of building a Village is meeting new people and having fun together... and our members are an amazing group!
This year we are planning an Interest Faire –to encourage community through our various interests that we’d like to share and perhaps build a group around, for example: knitting, bridge, gardening, walking, poetry, lunch, etc or simply contact us with your interests.
BRING
- FRIENDS, other Villagers, family, grandchildren—the more, the merrier!
- FOOD & DRINK: either a salad, dessert, or something for the grill, (enough for 6-8 folks) and water! (Ashby Village will provide plates, cups, napkins, plastic ware, condiments, charcoal and a grill master.)
- GAMES, FOLDING CHAIRS so we can enjoy our time together.
- Sungear, hats, sunscreen.
GOOD TO KNOW
- The site is fully wheel chair accessible and outfitted with grills, picnic tables and benches. It is located just near the Botanical Garden.
- Open to all.

DIRECTIONS:
- From Berkeley: take Wildcat Canyon Road through Tilden after you pass the Botanical Gardens make a right on SouthPark Drive Padre is first picnic area on the right.
- From Claremont Hotel -go up Claremont Ave to Grizzly Peak Blvd -make left on Grizzly Peak Blvd and right on South Park Drive. Picnic area will be on the left.
