We will discuss American Symphony, a 2023 American biographical documentary. It explores a year in the life of musician, Jon Batiste, his music career, and his wife's (Suleika Jaouad) struggle with leukemia.

American Symphony had its world premiere at the 50th Telluride Film Festival on August 31, 2023, and was released by Netflix on November 29, 2023. Batiste has won many awards, in addition to the Album of the Year at the GRAMMYs in 2022.  From 2015 to 2022, he appeared nightly as bandleader and musical director on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
