Drivers PLUS training
 
This May we toasted our high spirited 90+ year olds with a tea. To follow up we'll be offering (actually requiring) that in the future when any of our 90+ Ashby Village members request a ride, they not only get transportation but the driver will also serve as a door-through-door escort. This is a simple quick service that provides significant extra safety and security for the member.
 
That's where our veteran drivers come in. If you're willing to take an extra few minutes when providing a ride to a member to accompany them to/from the car and door, we'd like to invite you to become part of a special pool of drivers called Drivers Plus in which we'll be training in the areas of aging body movement and the emotional dynamics that may come with it.
 
This training not only will increase your ability to serve a wider number of our members who may need some extra support, but you'll find this knowledge will be helpful to you in a wide range of situations.
 
This training is open to active volunteer drivers ONLY.
